About Our Grand Rapids Instructor:

Nicholas Koerbitz

- Grew up playing soccer in Grand Rapids for Grand Rapids Soccer Club (then known as “Northwoods”)

- Played four years for Grand Rapids High School. Team captain Junior and Senior year, All-State Honourable Mention Senior year. Graduated in ’12

- Played four years for Concordia Moorhead in Moorhead, MN. Captain Senior year, MIAC All-Conference Honourable Mention Senior year. Graduated in ’16

- Have coached in GR Soccer Club on and off since 2012, during college, and now as a community member. 

- Will be entering 7th season as GRHS Boys Soccer Head Coach. 2021 7AA coach of the year.

Coaching Philosophy: 

Seeking to grow the game of soccer in the Grand Rapids Area by creating environments at all levels that are inclusive for everyone. My goal is for each kid to feel valued as a person and student as well as a soccer player. 

We are in the continuous process of building our programs for both club and high school. We are expanding on opportunities for kids to play at the highest levels both in and out of the Grand Rapids areas for those who are driven to reach their highest potential as a soccer player. With geography being a barrier for competition and player development, we are seeking ways to combat this. As a club and high school program, we are continuously working to break down barriers that prevent our top players from competing with those from metro areas who currently have more resources in their areas.
